Fragments March Production Update

– Mon, Mar 26, 2018 at 06:55:59 PM
A quick Fragments update, as we know you’ve been keeping an eye out for the finished pieces! As we move Fragments through the final stages, we’re going to be finding additional design help to support the challenging layout job the project presents. Each piece is getting a unique layout treatment, and our current design staff needs extra support to help get Fragments finished and out the door.
We know that it's been a long process to get this project finalized, and we apologize for the continued delays. We are committed to finishing the project, and we appreciate your patience. We’ll have a new timeline update for you in a few weeks when we’ve found the design support we need to get the job done.
Best,
John and the JWP Crew
Fragments January Production Update

Hi folks,
A quick Fragments production update for you. Progress on Fragments is moving along and we’d like to share one of the completed pieces with you today: The Unfilmable Pilot by Rob Justice, from our graphic designer Miguel.
Download the complete Unfilmable Pilot, written by Rob Justice, here.
Miguel is still working hard on these pieces. Each piece is getting its own special treatment, with a unique layout so no two pieces are the same. It’s a time-consuming project, but because so much time has already passed since the estimated delivery of this stretch goal, we’d like to go above and beyond to give you something truly special.
We have a new estimate of late February delivery for PDFs while Miguel wraps up layout. As always, thanks for your patience! We look forward to sharing Fragments with you in its finished form.
Fragments November Production Update

Hi folks,
We’re writing with a quick Fragments production update. Miguel is still working away on the layout, but we wanted to let you know the project status before too much time had passed.
Fragments is a special project. Because each piece was written by a different in-world author, each fragment is getting its own layout treatment. The final product will be something that feels truly “in-setting,” but the unique layout is taking some time.
With that, we’re expecting PDF delivery of the completed work in January, shipping beginning shortly thereafter. The JWP offices will be closed December 18th until the New Year, but the layout work will continue during that time.
Thanks for your patience! As mentioned, JWP underwent big changes when it went from being just John to John and a thriving development team!
We look forward to sharing Fragments with you in its finished form. Please let us know if you have any questions.
Fragments September Production Update

Hi everyone,
Hannah here, checking in with a COTY Fragments production update. Fragments has moved from editing to layout and Miguel, our new graphic designer, is on the job!
PDF delivery of finished pieces has been adjusted while we onboard new production staff. Here’s the current delivery timeline:
July - editing and proofing complete
Aug - pieces moved from proofing to layout
Sept - layout and final book design
Oct - PDF delivery of finished pieces, delivery of print books
Thanks for your continued patience. JWP underwent big changes when it went from being John +1 to a thriving development team, and it’s taken some time to ease into those transitions.
I’m happy to see Fragments in layout and look forward to crossing the finish line with you! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Fragments July Production Update

Hi everyone,
Hannah here, checking in with a COTY Fragments production update. Our current editor and graphic designer have been working overtime on other projects, so we’ve hired a wonderful additional designer to help move Fragments to completion.
Here’s an updated timeline for you:
March - finalize development on all pieces, begin copy editing (complete)
April and May - copy editing (complete)
June - final proofing (nearing completion)
July - design and layout, PDF delivery of finished pieces
August - deliver pieces to printer
While our editor finalizes proofreading of these pieces, we’ve been able to get a jumpstart on the layout. Here’s a sample of what Miguel Ángel Espinoza, our new graphic designer, has been working on:
Download a 4-page PDF preview of the Unfilmable Pilot, written by Rob Justice, here.
We’re still hoping for delivery of finished PDFs by the end of July, but we’re also aware of Gen Con looming on the horizon. If Gen Con causes any additional delays getting these pieces to you, we’ll let you know at the end of the month.
While there’s still some proofing work to be done, I’m happy to see the production team beginning to move Fragments to layout.
Thanks for your patience while we push Fragments across the finish line!
